Our Story
Paddle Board Guide started the way most good resources do — out of frustration. A few of us were shopping for our first inflatable paddle boards and found the same problem over and over: listing pages full of buzzwords, “review” sites that clearly never touched the product, and comparison charts that all seemed to recommend whatever paid the highest commission. We wanted a place that treated readers like adults who could handle a straight answer, including “this board isn’t great” when it isn’t.
What began as a small collection of buying guides has grown into a full resource covering inflatable and hard paddle boards, accessories, safety requirements, and brand-by-brand reviews — all written with the same goal: help you buy the right board once, instead of the wrong one twice.
What We Do
We research, compare, and review stand-up paddle boards and related gear across every major category — all-around, touring, fishing, yoga, and whitewater shapes, in both inflatable and hard-board construction. Where possible, we test boards directly; where we haven’t personally paddled a specific model, we build our reviews from verified owner feedback, manufacturer specifications, and a consistent evaluation framework rather than guesswork.
